Our History
Students deserve a classroom magazine just for them. That great idea inspired our founder, Maurice Robinson, to create The Western Pennsylvania Scholastic in 1920. In the 100+ years since, we’ve grown from one magazine to 31, with 11 million readers throughout the nation. And we keep evolving to meet educators’ needs, administrators’ goals, and students’ interests. Today, 90% of our customers say they would recommend us to a colleague.
Our Location
Our main office is in the Soho neighborhood of New York City. We’re located in the headquarters of Scholastic, Inc., the world’s leading publisher of children’s books and educational materials for PreK–12.
