Starting April 1, join Scholastic and the Library of Congress for Dav Pilkey At Home. Together you can get creative and have fun with some of your favorite characters from Dog Man and Captain Underpants. Discover new activities, videos, read-alouds, and so much more!  


Scholastic Summer Reading Program

Scholastic Summer Read-a-Palooza unites communities in a nationwide campaign that celebrates reading for fun while improving access to books during the summer. For 2020, we are excited to share a brand new experience for kids with Scholastic Home Base, a free digital destination which will provide complete access to books, live events, and games in a safe community for readers! Kids will be encouraged to track their reading streaks™ and earn rewards to unlock book donations, with the goal of donating 100,000 books by July!  To learn more about Scholastic Summer Read-a-Palooza and access free summer reading resources, visit: http://www.scholastic.com/summer.


Continue Watching and Reading Every Day

Continue using BookFlix each day with your students. All fiction/nonfiction pairs in BookFlix are categorized according to nine themes that focus on developmentally appropriate concepts and topics. Click on the book/apple icon in the upper left corner to find instructional support for every pair.

Let your students keep watching and learning with Watch & Learn Library with hundreds of real-world videos in English and Spanish.

Helping Kids Cope

First Aid for Feelings: A Workbook to Help Kids Cope During the Coronavirus Pandemic is a free workbook from the Yale Child Study Center–Scholastic Collaborative, written by child development expert Denise Daniels. This comforting resource is designed to help children alleviate stress and anxiety and to provide a sense of control during changing times. This workbook will encourage children to express their thoughts and feelings while providing families with simple strategies to help kids handle emotions.
